Frankenstein Question Response

If I had to choose among ugly, angry, ignorant, guilty, extremely intelligent, or extremely attractive, I would least want to be guilty or feel guilty. If I was guilty of a crime, I would not know how to live the remaining years of my life without thinking about the crime. I live by the  motto "To get anywhere in life you must look to a brighter future, not the road you were on before. Always move forward not backwards." With the crime I committed, I always be dragged by it everywhere I go because it will forever be on my record. It will be harder to live a better life since the crime I committed made a huge psychological damage to myself and my family. Above all the choices given, I would least want to be guilty.

  1. The terrible feeling of guilt is something I would not like to feel either, yet even more so is the feeling of being alone. Loneliness is the worstform of punishment in my eyes, because whenyou are isolateed from everything, you really just stay at a stand-still. This is how Frankenstein's creature feels, because he is alone in a world very different from his own, and feels isolated. These feelings most likely are the main contributors to his anger. -Alyssa R

  2. In addition to the loneliness mentioned to the previous comment, being guilty of committing and evil deed in society usually warrants isolation from society. Being guilty is definitely a terrible thing, and once convicted, one is subjected to a forced loneliness, which gives makes one idle, which gives one time to contemplate about their actions. Reflections like these can either be enlightening, or devastating.

  3. I would have to agree, the feeling of guilt isn't a very pleasant one. Being guilty of a something and trying to keep it a secret just eats you up inside, and seeing the effects your actions had on others is the worst.

  4. I agree with your idea, guilt is a horrible thing to be dragging around, even more than loneliness as guilt destroys you from the inside out. Eventually it could lead to anger and loneliness, two of the other options. Honestly, everyone at one point or another could feel angry and lonely, but guilt is something different, something that you yourself created, and eventually could destroy who you were before.
