I've been so tired baby
Oh I've been so tired baby
But I see my dreams are bigger than this feeling
I been living with this daily burden
Said I been living with this daily burden
But I see my dreams are bigger than this feeling
I got this weight pulling me under
Oh I got this weight pulling me under
But I can see my dreams are bigger than this feeling
I can't let this feeling overpower me
No, I can't let this feeling overpwer me
Cause I see my dreams are bigger than this feeling
Our team decided that tiredness was a great theme to describe the way we have been feeling lately. We all balance so much in our lives that it wears us out. Between high school, college, jobs, and a social life it feels like we are being pulled thinner and thinner each day.
The only thing keeping us going is our future.
Keana,
ReplyDeleteIt would be great to have this set to music! I agree -- exhaustion seems to be an epidemic! Take care of yourself,

Yeah it is. Every night before I'm about to go to sleep, I feel the whole day weighing down on me with the stress if everything going on. Makes me wonder if once we are actually in college if it will be easier since we wont have to worry about admissions

It's so hard to balance everything - family, friends, school, sleep. I was thinking the same thing Dominic, I wonder if it'll be easier once we're in college... But somehow, I doubt it. We should be known as the "sleep-deprived generation." :P

I totally agree with you tiredness is a major part of our lives. Sometimes school, job, and family can be hard to balance, and sometimes you just want to give up. But deep down in your heart you know that you can't give up. Someone once told me that "Hardest part of the day, is getting up", so I guess we just need to keep a positive attitude towards life.
ReplyDeleteI completely agree with the theme of this poem. With everything we are all dealing with lately, tiredness seems to overwhelm us daily. Though some people think it will become easier once we are finally in college, I disagree. Personally I feel it will become harder and we will just grow used to the difficulty. When we finally make it to college we will have to worry about our careers, jobs, money to pay for college, getting the right classes for our major, and even more. Somehow I do not believe that it will ever get any easier than how we have it now. There will always be something stressing us out.

ReplyDeleteI love the constant "my dreams are bigger than this feeling!" It's perfect! This tiredness serves as an obstacle between us and whatever our dream may be. It's only temporary, so keep pushin' :)
