Life

As the days count down to the end of the school year, I look back on everything Ive done throughout my life and realize I have no regrets. Everything I did, I did because my heart willed me to and those moments made me happy. Ive avoided drama all of my life until recently and begin to remember why I always got away from it. But as I move on to college, and with my life, I begin to become nervous. What was once thought to be happy days in my life are now filtered with uncertainty. I just hope I choose the right college with the right location to help me become happy. I hope I can find what happiness is, and keep it tight forever. Everything happens for a reason. I know God is always with me and I pray that he leads me and anyone who shall cross paths with me, to a happy and joyful life.

  1. I definantly agree with what you have said. I have also kept away from drama most of my life, and it really makes things better, and being uncertain on life is always hard to handle, especially when in high school living in safety net of one's parents - as most teenagers live in. I just live by the philosophy that you have already stated, that God will lead, and through thick and thin, all will be well in the end.

  2. This seems to be the nature of virtually everyone right now. People are having trouble because this is arguably one of the biggest changes any of us will ever undergo, some for the better, and others it may be for the worse. However, my opinion towards that uncertainty is slightly different than yours. I see that uncertainty as a huge opportunity to expand upon that which I already know. To me, that uncertainty is the door through which we must travel to reach our goal ultimately.

  3. Your approach to college is similar to many others. Your belief in God shows that you care not only about yourself and your future, but also for others around you. I think it's just a normal process one goes through, but like you said hopefully God is there with you. Just prepare for the worst and hope for the best.

  4. Letting go of something and venturing into the unknown is always hard. I find that while I am excited to begin my college education, I am also sad and scared of the prospect of responsibility and no longer being a child. I fear going to collgeges like Berkeley and having my beliefs in God twisted and distorted into nothing, or having to question the beliefs I have been raised in since childhoood. However, I find that if you holdfast to what you know in your heart to be true, and draw upon God for strength he will see you through. You don't need to worry about starting over, just know what you believe and hold on to it.
